AI Clearinghouse

Clearinghouse Definition

Project Clearinghouse is an initiative run by CPSAI that allows government leaders to submit potential AI projects for review by a team of tech, data, and benefits delivery experts. The initiative's goal is to mitigate risks associated with deploying contemporary technologies by offering governments a safe space to evaluate the intended and unintended consequences of potential AI work and break down barriers between states regarding real-world feedback and learning.

Our Process

Our process, while evolving as it matures, is intended to provide a sharpening stone for current projects and to build a deeper understanding of what emerging technologies are being utilized by governments across the country.

  1. A government leader contacts CPSAI with a formal project or concept.
  2. A small team of technical advisors works with the state agency to better understand their goals, capabilities, questions, and evaluation criteria.
  3. The CPSAI technical advisory team reviews the project and creates a final review deliverable that assess the project against critical guardrails, identifies areas of risk, and provides recommendations on how the agency can strengthen their approach to both meet user needs and ensure safe, effective implementation.
